The LIFE GySTRA project faces the final stretch of the project by carrying out a demonstration in collaboration with the municipality of Alcobendas and MásMovil.

OPUS RSE device will be located in the central district and at exits 16 and 17 of the A1. The City Council will send the emission data to the citizens.

The objective is the massive surveillance and management of road traffic emissions in Alcobendas through remote sensing sensors, smart infrastructure systems, 5G networks, big data and decision-making platforms, and vehicle data communication systems and drivers.

According to the Councilor for Mobility, Aitor Retolaza (Cs), “the possible implementation of the system would improve air quality, the health of citizens… We would encourage the creation of solutions to be a Smart City thanks to decision-making based on in real traffic emissions data and not estimates, and a new impulse will be generated for the digitization of transport in Alcobendas”. Retolaza assures that this project “will improve the mobility of the city, one of the problems that most concern the neighbours“.
